Fuel starvation Kubota M7

I've got a problem on my Kubota M7 151, after around 2 hours work it will lose all power & react like fuel starvation. If I then leave it for 40-50 minutes it will run fine again for an hour. I'll sometimes get an error: rail pressure too low.

I've changed the fuel filter & filter in the water seperator but still no difference.

I'm going to drain the tank & see if its water in the diesel but seems strange to only affect it after a couple hours hard work... Anybody had a simar issue?

Our oil man says he's seeing a lot more stringy diesel since they went to low sulphur.

Says you should always empty the tank before a fill to help minimise the problem.

Have you a filter on your fuel station ? We had a M7 which would occasionally go into limp mode when it was low on fuel, changing the fuel filter and cleaning out the pipes rectified the problems. That was a M7171 back around 2017 .We've had two 7172's and 3 7173's since with no problems. We did buy a new fuel station about 2 years ago with an inline filter, maybe this has helped.

As Timbo pointed out the strainer on the inlet tube in the diesel tank could be dirty, take the pipe off by the diesel filter and blow air back into the tank.

Have you changed all 4 fuel filters? There's a gauze one in the electric lift pump that's sometimes overlooked.
I did not replace that one but I did remove it & clean it, the same as the one under the steps. I did replaced the cartridge filter & the main canister filter with genuine kubota ones

I will try that tomorrow & then drain the tank & see if anything comes out

I don't have one on the fuel station, perhaps I should get one to try & minimise problems like these in future

I thought I saw a breather pipe coming from the tank, the end looked clear but maybe if it was blocked further up?

Will you help clear snow?
