Following on from my previous thread where I thought my bales weren’t as good as out my old 550 I’m wondering what number setting are u generally using on the touchscreen baling silage? I know it all depends on grass types etc. I’m on mainly heavy first cut. I’m mainly on 8 or 9 on density setting. Dealer thought this was a high setting. Just finding some bales bit squishy and not solid enough. One customer had commented his bales had sagged a bit but the stuff was just cut one day baled the next . Certainly is a lot going in a bale and I’m going slow giving it time . 180hp tractor is dragging down when bale is full

Its all down to grass volume in the swath, i baled some 2nd cut the other day and had to travel further for a bale, still rowed up by twin rake, the bales were as hard as stone.
Heavy 1st cut grass, i normally bale between 4 and 6 kph to get more revaluations in the bale.

As will PTO speed. Fusions are marked upto 600rpm Input speed and run better on 600rpm rather than 540 as more revolutions per bale really helps
