I do, not a painted one in sightI like the idea of galvanising, but how many people skimp on concrete or other aspects of a build?I always over spec that as i have seen some right bodges on farms who try to penny pinch.
I will do my next building for sure as it will house the drier, which creates its own damp little microclimate .i would also do
livestock or bulk fertiliser sheds i think.
I cant believe everyone here has wall to wall galvanised sheds though!
It works out about £100 per ton extra for galv framework factoring in haulage ectits not much more than paint anyway
well not if you buy your shed from someone that is not trying to screw you on the cost of it
Not sure how much it is per ton but I do know that some will try to charge much more than others for something that is most likely done at the same placeIt works out about £100 per ton extra for galv framework factoring in haulage ect
1 of each here the first I couldn't get a sensible galv quote and at 600/ ton was far too deer
2nd the paint would have been £700 <at a fare discount as well for 2 coats +our time to apply/rub down etc
but had it galved at £300 per ton came to £1800 < I thought it was cheaper in the long run
just debating bitumen the legs?
Most building manufacturers sell their galvanized buildings with zinc plated bolts and not galvanized ones, when I asked about it I was told they were shiny, what's the problem.
