Anyone else listening to Vine?

Don’t generally listen, but caught a bit driving there.

Labels on meat products warning of environmental damage associated with production is the discussion point.

Some Wally claimed cattle are decapitated at the end of their life. Vine made sure he repeated that a few times.

Listener comments seemed quite balanced though.

Quite right too. Livestock make a greater contribution to climate change than does air travel *. Only right that the consumer be told to reduce consumption.

Paid for by our levy. In what way is that the BBC's fault ? UK ag has brought all of this on itself. You think today is bad, wait till Monday when it all kicks off.

Going back a good few years ago I’m sure he was a lot more balanced, now he seems to be putting on an intentional clown act, always siding with the woke, cant stand listening to him, between him, Zoe Ball, Scott Mills & Vernon Kay, radio 2 doesn’t get much of an airing any more, absolute mind rotting garbage.

Just for some balance, this is a result of “research” by Durham University

Whine just picks the hot topics of the day for discussion… but he does have a bias .. ever since he took up riding a bicycle IIRC

I have just been reading an old book by John Humphreys, and thinking about pesticide residues in food, I have been wondering if actually eating far fewer veggies/fruit and more meat wouldn't be far healthier.

You can fool some of the people, some of the time, but you won’t fool all of the people all of the time.
The truth will out eventually.
Why haven’t AHDB changed the drivel on their website, @delilah ? Been years like that, knowingly misinforming.
For the record, don’t listen to Radio 2 anymore, parlour radio died, rarely in a machine recently
, to bother to turn the radio on .

Original article was published in a journal called Appetite

https://www.elsevier.com/journals/appetite/0195-6663?generatepdf=true

Jack Paul Hughes, post grad phd who led the research calls himself an environmentalist and rewilding enthusiast on his Twitter handle. So i guess he has an agenda
And on his Durham bio states that he “owns way too many (not enough) plants … so I’m speculating he’s a veggie/vegan too

Looked him up on LinkedIn. He's a zealot, no mistake. Thinks he's going to save the world by forcing people to change their behaviour to that which he deems acceptable. Just another [censored] who thinks he can manipulate people through Behavioural (not a) Science.

I didn’t catch the whole segment so I must’ve missed the bit where the AHDB bumf was quoted.

I did quite like the comment about electric cars should have pictures of Congolese child miners on the doors if that was the precedent.

What’s happening Monday? A quick google just came up with it being national nachos day in America.
