I dont know about blind; most people have just stuck them on the roof and forgotten about it, if they ever understood in the first place. I am seeing some unscrupulous sales people trying to sell to householders again. Recently had an elderly gentleman who had been convinced that the solar panels and battery system (£50k plus) that he was being quoted for would store up the summer electric so his winter bills werent so big! Given that he was 85 I did gently suggest that the payback period for any such system might not be of much use to him. His wife was delighted when I suggested that the £50k would buy a lot of winter holidays in the sun and that this would also reduce his electric bill during the winter and be much more enjoyable.

I know a local gentleman who had panels installed 10 years ago. His meter still running backwards even more he was one of those compensated for misselling of panels. Average Joe is not as stupid as many think:ROFLMAO:

there is a spinning disc type of meter that is dual tariff, it has two kwh readouts for day time and night time use, this type has a back stop to prevent it going backwards but if you place a magnet on the side it switches to the night time tariff,
