Somebody had to start this one....

It was like a Saharan sand storm when the hoggs ran up the beet field today, with a very loud rattling noise. Be clean enough to sell before long.:)

Just thought same @neilo. Will you get all beet used or lift some. Moving our ewes home Thursday. Due around 7th.

There will be about 2ac to lift I think, but harvester can’t get here for a fortnight. Due to start on the 1st, but not much grass on the lambing paddocks yet (closed up since early November) so will come off the beet on the 31st I expect.

Hoggs off later this week, ready to start moving in early April.

A lot of our ground is still too wet to spread fertiliser or cultivate in any way.
Luckily we have all different soil types here, so at least I can get on the lighter stuff. Don’t want rain though .

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
