Getting paid for straw ?

Fire started at the Western end. The rest of the stacks are on an old runway, stacked in an east to west line, probably best part of a mile from one end to the other. Spread right through due to very gusty wind yesterday. These pictures are from woldgrain video, the large stacks at the end near their stores are all gone now with the rest.
Fire started furthest end.

I wouldn't rush to risk a man's life for a bit of straw. Fires of this magnitude are very dangerous.
It’s a long way from the first too then furthest pile though from the photos… would of been very safe too start moving the straw from say the middle of the line and make a fire break kind of thing… but tbf they deserve all they’ve got having that much straw stacked that close together is just a disaster waiting to happen and if they couldn’t see it then they’re thicker than the average idiot

I'm no fire expert so don't know how fast it could spread through the stacks. But I've read wild bush fires can move at 60mph+.

I wouldn't chance it with my kit or anyone under my charge. It's just a bit of straw. Let it burn and keep everyone safely back.

There's no way you'd be able to move any significant value either, you'd just end up with a massive bill from everyone on emergency callout.
