Both bullish for 2023 wheat prices, and for 2023 yields in most of Devon and Cornwall.

I grow Diablo. It yields well but I do find it a quirky one . Only skinning bother we have ever had is with Diablo and last year the stuff I kept for home saved seed , so grown from new seed with no harvest round up was mid 80s germ , while I had malting stuff going mid winter with no problems .

So strip till didn't work for you ;)

All drilled on the same day at the same seed rate? Any deep cultivations on the control plots? I'm not having a go at you, just checking you are comparing like with like.

bean field had knight press over it , combo drilled half which had legs in
it’s maybe best field on farm nice loamy stuff
beet field had shzkerstor at 14 inch deep and combo
other had strip drill . headlands had two leg subsoiler where harvester wheels ran then 5 mm rain next day
both had 40 mm water in may june
did lightest end which is about72 m next to road left reel as did not need it and pulled it out again and gave it another inch week after
not knocking it
have gathered up some scrap what is getting modified this winter to make a strip drill, will make it work
but the lighter stony old shite goes like concrete unless you get some sort of leg through it
but choppin straw and some st and sheep and mustard radish is slowly working 🙈 then you put destoner through it and back to start

If your growing spuds don't bother about it.
