Grass keep available

Hi,
We have two lots of new permanent pasture leys we are putting down on our farm this autumn. They will be available for sheep grazing only (new leys) spring next year.

Bromyard - Herefordshire

Lot 1 74 acres - 7 fields in total. Biggest field is 19 acres, smallest 6. The others are around 10 acres.
- New ley being put in the coming weeks. Grass & White Clover blend
- Main fields will likely be served by waterpipes if not a bowser will be provided (and maintained by us)
- Ground is being checked and limed this autumn
- Ground will be dressed with fertiliser in the spring by us.
- We can move the sheep and will do a weekly check
- Once moved into next field we are looking to top weeds if needed or sprayed
- Fencing holes etc are going to be address this winter.
- Paddocks near farm can be used for shearing and worming and power etc.
- Easy access loading via drive at farmhouse

Lot 2 43 acres 5 Fields. Smallest field 5 acres , Biggest 11 acres and the others are around 8-9 acres each.

- Main fields will likely be served by waterpipes if not a bowser will be provided (and maintained by us)
- Ground is being check and limed this autumn
- Ground will be dressed with fertiliser in the spring by us.

Would be interested in putting in herbal mixes into the ley if required.

We have another 80 or so acres existing grass near out woods which is a little further away but only 15min walk.

Webinar: Expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive offer 2024 -26th Sept

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
