My back is shot to hell, which is a bit crap as I’m only 36! I’ve got a farm tour the day before, a funeral on the Friday and a stag do on the Saturday (and Wednesday and Thursday convincing you good arable folk to incorporate live stock ..... and me .... into your farms). I decided the idea of a memory foam mattress and a roomy tent was a fantastic one!

I have those two luxuries in the car, sod biking it as to much crap to bring...

Forecast is OK...though we had 62 mm on Friday so the exhibitor entrance is quite muddy. Putting down some hard tracks now so it'll be fine on the day. Wellies should be ott but trainers might get a bit dirty, work boots probably favorite footwear. Campsite dry under wet grass. Warm clothing for evening session...

Got to say, the ground walked wonderfully well and a testament to the permeability of the land.... Mind my (ever so light) little Hyundai shopping trolley, had sunk into the ground up near the upended plough, and needed a good shunt to remove from the 4 wee ruts after 2 nights!

Winter fleece needed at 3am!
