Tbh I made a bad choice. I decided to stay at home to get a block of wheat done for central store, then into feed wheat which needed to be 16 percent or below. Easy, as was 15 last night. Showers meant a 3pn start and the stuff didn't get below 17.5

We could have moved farms and got 100ac cut and on a drying floor. Kicking myself, but sick if having everyone else's wheat but mine started.
With weather like this it’s almost impossible to know if you’re doing the right thing!

In the middle.
Finally finished the worst crop of rape i have ever grown this evening. At least the fields look clean again for the first time in months. Almost didn't get done when i had a car fly around a blind bend and hit the header trailer on the road. Lucky it only hit the trailer and did no damage to the header unlike his car.

Well finally got into wheat. Grafton 2nd wheat, got down to 20% by 6 tonight just a couple of loads to keep my kerosene supplier happy and hopefully make a start towards getting some more OSR land ready. Barley stubbled planted today, certainly not lacking moisture but went in well although the severe stripping of the volunteer Barley is a worry

Finished a block of wheat at 2 this morning, in between did some spring barley for a neighbour which was flat and had a breakdown for 2 hours on the header! Left hand retractable fingers shaft popped out its bearing.
Wheat is yielding well, just hope the proteins are there.

Not cut anything since last Thursday now so not a happy bunny at the moment:(. Wheat at 27% yesterday and it’s rained most the night and raining again now:mad:. No sign of a break in the forecast either! Starting to feel like 2012/17 again:cry:
