What revs you ted at I.e full pto speed or slower was experimenting today results were inconclusive

Slower forward speed when its green but can speed up when its drying and lighter.

Must be old dead grass to be dry that quick! We cut some on Tuesday, will be fit to bale tomorrow and there's not much on it, young grass though

Same here. Cut Tuesday, some will go tomorrow afternoon (if tomorrow is like today), the other field should go on Sunday.

Counted 3 turning grass in the distance whilst I was doing mine

A lot baled here today, supprised not been down long, mines extremely close but as it one field of it was green gave it till tomorw as it off into big squares got to be fit for them or it heats.

We have 40 acres on the deck, which is actually surplus 2nd cut silage which won't fit in the clamp so will be made into hay - far more than we have ever had before. It will be fine for the dries and if we are short of grass next spring we buffer the lush grass with hay. We haven't actually cut our usual 12 acres of species rich meadow hay, we grazed them earlier as we were short of grass! . Neighbours across the river have hay down. Neighbour up the road has hay down. Smallholding in the village even nearer has hay down. Neighbour across the road has hay down!
