Should add that we aren't paid on solids as such, although customers want creamy milk. However, with a milk price after bottling costs of 100ppl.......
Great stuff, I bought a second hand bin at the weekend, its a 3.5ton bin. I wont get an auger until a gather a few pond, but its better that digging out of tote bags.To be fair 6.48 bf is about as high as we've had, and it was NML tested...........
Usually we're just over 5%, but yes the silage would be high fibre, the dairy pencils are 18% protein. We don't have a lot of choice with that as they are the only dairy nut our feed mill supply in small bags (we aren't yet set up to take 3t at a time, and wouldn't use it quick enough if we were).
