Herdsman/woman required for 200 cow herd. All year round calving with a focus on good grassland and silage management and cow health. Modern 16/32 GEA parlour. Role to include the following, but can be tailored to suit the right candidate
Shared milking with other members of the team
Yard work
Record keeping
Grassland managment
Breeding management
Some feild work including fencing
The farm is currently undergoing a large infrastructure improvement program including a new slurry lagoon and cubicle shed to be completed before winter 21 Salary based, working alternate weekends and regular time off. No accommodation provided but help can be given to find somewhere if needed.
