As above, will turn over but won't fire. Have put more diesel in in case gauge is faulty.

Any ideas, no symptoms before it died.

Fuel pump in tank maybe?

Bleeding it'll show if fuels coming through.

Crank Sensor etc... Try it stone cold. I had an intermittent Jeep Crank Sensor that would start no problem from cold and often run for days with no issue. Then all of a sudden it would be game over until cold.

My old L200 died whilst driving , dash board lit up like it was christmas! Turned over beatifully but would not start.
Turned out the cam belt had gone and written off the top end ..... funny thing there was not noise at all when it died just a dead engine!!

If gauge below half, there’d be a chance it’s just fuel. Gauge on mine is terrible, was reading 1/3 full when I put 82l in it this morning. Think it’s an 85l tank.
I’ve run out a few times and if you’ve cranked away in the hope it’ll catch, it takes ages to bleed thru after. Was over an hr at it once.

Our hilux did the same but it was the smaller engine it was the crank sensor, however the engine management light came on. Is yours on ? Does it come on when you turn the ignition on ?

Yes have several lights on in bottom left including engine management light on yellow, trans oil temp, charge light, stop/park light, engine oil pressure light. Plus traction conyrol light on top right. but I thought these came on until engine started anyway?

Yes they do, if the engine light is on then the system must have power, need some one with a computer to see what error codes you have, the crank sensor on ours had a think crack in it which caused an intermittent fault, if yours has gone make sure you buy a genuine one as the will fit one we used was 2mm shorter and missed the signal half the time making it run like a bag of scanners, denso have an agreement with toyota not to sell theirs in the UK.
Of course your problem might have nothing to do with the crank sensor

Where are you located ? I am in Hampshire and if you are local I have a code reader you could use alternatively if you have AA/RAC get something back for your annual subscription, even if they can't fix it they will tell you what the computer reckons the fault is.

Check the basics such as battery and fuses then dont waste anymore time , get a diagnostics guy come out and plug in, if its just a small item like a sensor you can usually change it yourself.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
