A moving divider gate. Very clever. What will they think of next!
Why the sarcy comment?

It was a collapsible gate at a fixed point to work on the two deck models and now they have a design that will perform a function that is common in many conventional stock trailers. The engineering and design is on a different level

I don't think it was a sarcy JP. The spin these companies sometimes put on something that's been about for decades from other manufacturers does make us all smile sometimes. ;)

If it came from you I wouldn't take it as sarcy , I promise. The other chap has form I'm afraid

I have no connection with Houghton now but I would imagine that Steve posted that bit on the Houghton site because it was something many (obviously) regarded as an almost essential feature on stock trailers and had been told on many occasions beforehand, as opposed to saying it was anything new as a feature. It was recognised but not an easy design to achieve well and cost effectively in the T35 design.

If you look at Houghton and Plowman designs, they are still streets ahead of farmer 3500kg trailers. IMHO only Gamic are in that market, listening to customers and working hard to move the game forward. It's still tough when you have to save weight and come in at such low budgets.

I stand by my original remarks

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
