how long is a 6 furrow plough

I used to put a 6 furrow 39 inch point to point DP7 on a 20 foot Bateson, the point of the sixth furrow sat on the rear cross member with the headstock just overhanging the headboard. I'd say the 14 foot trailer is probably too short. If the sixth furrow is removable and the plough is a short clearance you might get it on?

just had a measure of my 4 furrow (fully mounted) its just over 14ft, (i would consider it fairly compact design too)

if this is 6 assuming its same design and i add the same length of 2 of my furrows on its pushing 19ft, if its semi mounted i suspect i will be even longer,

No is that answer!

6 furrow will put you over weight! I have pulled 4 and 5 behind my old shogun. I wouldn’t try a 6!
how much you rekon they weigh got a 4 furrow spring loaded dp8 years ago that felt heavy but when i took it off with jcb it dint seem that heavy i speculated 1.5 tonne from light on load sensor. another 2 furrow would not be 500 kg? maybe they would but you would still have a bit to go...

I'm sure a standard dp8 4f is only just over a ton
