Wanted one of these for a while, so black Friday discount swung it.
Really meant for setting out stuff in a house etc, but I can see it being handy for a few jobs about the farm.
These have 3 lines that do 360deg so mark out a 90deg angle on floor, handy for squaring gates Im making.

Ive only had it for a couple of weeks.
Yes Im pleased with it.
Does exactly what I hoped for. I wanted one that made a cross on the ground and does 360 deg lines. Its not going to set out a big shed, but so far I have made gates and used it to set them square on the floor before welding, set a plumb line centre of a wall to start wallpapering off of, squared a new Velux skylight I dropped in to a roof last week, was setting out a new stud wall tonight. Could have done all that stuff other ways but that things handy a quicker.
Plus I do like a gadget!!
Plan to use it to mark out a straight on a ceiling to put in downlights. I also have a new set of steel posts and barriers to do in the summer and a straight line to work off of will be handy.
It will struggle in bright light, but I guess I could get the laser finder thingy to go with it, or mark up the steel work in the late evening.

bought the big borer and lathe I saw in the summer and was getting prices for moving them north :nailbiting:...
then saw someone post that the company they worked for was scrapping the two grinders and other bits and bobs. (Bottom 3 pics) so I had to save them... but then I ended up with too much for one load and not enough for two...

so bought the top one.

stupid Facebook machining group :-(
Which machining group would this be🤔?!!

This is just an observation .
is it my imagination of have the price of Makita batteries and chargers gone mental .
Back in august ,the double chargers were £50 ,,now the cheapest Ive seen is £75 ,,5 Ah batteries have gone from £50 to £70+ .
is this because of brexit import tarrifs ,,if it is then Makita will out price themselves .
