He was correcting the use of incorrect words copping/coping & brake/break.
I kinda figured that alright but he'd be flat out on this forum if he corrected every spelling mistake made by members, I'm only guessing but I'd say it could be a long time ago when some folk on here were at school and I'm quite sure apart from typing on here some other folk mightnt need to be spelling many words too often.
And then there's big fingers on smartphones.
No doubt spelling and good grammar are nice to see but it's not the end of the world really.

Biggish hammer, good pliers (knipex cobra). I personally never use adjustable spanners, cheapo set of spanners is much more usefull ( https://www.toolstation.com/professional-metric-spanner-set/p68631 ). Cheapo socketset will be great but you need a good place for it. A good selection of tywraps, especially the big ones. Don't bother throwing a selection of bolts in your toolbox as they will be decently crusty by the time you need them. Some pins of variable sizes.
To give you an impression of my toolboxes:
hammer (sometimes)
some (bend) pins
a selection of crusty bolts
Used but useable mower blades (which I never ever use)
lynchpins (or parts there of)
a load of tywraps
The great thing about tywraps is that they don't rust so will last indefenitely in the toolbox.

Right, what do you consider to be the best minimum tools to be in the tractor tool box?

Metric spanner set, engineers pliers, gloves. A drawer pin will do as an emergency hammer (you did say essential). If I'm going to be fast from the yard / doing anything complicated I feel naked without a basic socket set as well.

Oh, and a grease gun.:rolleyes:

What he said ^^

Plus an airline, blowgun and tyre inflator.

In all seriousness, it depends on what job you are doing and how far you are from your workshop. If you’re just doing some land work next to your yard, a spanner to change a point is all you need.
If you’re running a baler miles away you need a lot more tools.
And if the tractor you're using is 30 years old a reasonable selection of tools is a necessary insurance policy........

I was lucky enough to purchase an entire workshop off a retired engineer. There are countless boxes of tools, and if I ever need anything I just rumage until I find it.

I just need a bigger area to properly display the equipment for ease of use.
