More likely to be a decent Tig welding set ...as i want to learn how...

Tig welding ain't so great. You get a kid glove for the filler rod which after some sweat conducts electric with a tingle!! Could never get ally clean enough to make a nice job. MIG on steel is easy but arc is less porous and more satisfying IMHO.

It is a tg130, discontinued now sorry to say. It was under €200 I am sure. I don't really use it but just wanted it

Yes I know about the cable ? Unfortunately it’s beyond economical repair though.

Bury the solid plastic handle off the new one and get a rubbery one. Much more comfortable.
