Excessive, just wash out. As a bonus, it'll stop it going green for about a week.

Just get one of the better swimming pool chlorine testing kits and pump the water from the outlet back unto the IBC to mix well. (I expect a single washout will be good enough.)

Remember to also test a small sample mixed with a lot of tap water as very high chlorine give same colour as low chlorine on same test kits.

Yes, and it's part of sodium chloride (salt) too. However for peace of mind triple rinsing anything should leave so little of the original content (assuming it's water soluble) that it's undetectable.

yes use dairy chemical wash tubs for cake feeders for calves ,done it for years, just rinse several times
