That's like timed warranty work on a new machine. Just wait till that wheel's seen a few years of mud and clatch, hope its as good for you then😂.

I did one last year, just used a Milwaukee one because local dealer had one in stock and wasn’t overly expensive, hardest bit was getting old one off ( plenty of how too vids online)

Has anyone replaced the chuck on a cordless drill? If so did you get one from milwaukee or go for a different make?

I did.

Drill died 15 months later.

In hindsight I shouldn’t have bothered.

What you looking to buy? Bizarrely sometimes you can buy separately and save money over a kit! Not always from the same dealer either😂🙈

The M18FPP2J2-502P which is the big 1/2 inch gun and braked grinder (rang to make sure) with the rapid charger, 2x5 amp batteries and case
Dont like buying bare tools as hate not having a case to store them, a second rapid charger would be handy for when I leave one on one farm, and I feel an extra pair of batteries would be worth having after only recently going from 2 up to 3 of them (4 if I can find the one playing hide and seek in the workshop)

£5 more but get 3 batteries and 2 chargers plus the new version grinder. okay i admit the cases are not going to be as good cause the kit in your link is a pack out case which is totally different although i bet it still has the crap thin plastic insert.

I did too but changing the chuck was no where near as easy as the videos say.ended up cutting the old chuck off with a grinder so that I could reach the T40 torx bit (left hand thread) inside. Took all afternoon and I learned a lot of new words.

Just curious, any idea on the difference between the fsag and the cag grinders as the latter one seem a lot more money for some reason? Either way it's going to be a step up from my 6yo, brushed grinder, which is starting to show its age having been used for everything from cutting wire up to cutting hedge trimmer flails out and cleaning paint off up to cutting through heavy channel.

How much are the packout cases worth? Got several here that have never been used

Depends which one but some are £40 to £60 new.

If it's a proper pack out case and not the cheap stackable ones the tools normally come with then advertise it on facebook market place some local builder type will buy them I'm sure.

Not really sure imo, just a newer design and old one will be phased out I guess.

New one does have a variable speed though and some people complained it didnt come with fixtec quick release nut.
Bit you can but fix tech nuts separately and I highly recommend them, I use them on my corded 5" makita too and my 9" bosch!

Fair enough. never need the tool for my normal but anyway, if it came with I wouldn't turn it down but seems expensive on its own

might be useful for a sanding disc or polishing mop, more importantly being the newest model its likely to be more powerful than the old one and does claim to be similar to a 1200watt corded and i would say my older type is maybe more like a 1000watt corded at best.

I fitted a Rohm chuck to mine. Not cheap but well worth it. Found the original to be quite hopeless really. IIRC, there are two thread sizes so you'd need to know which yours is to start with...

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
