Haven't bought any for a couple of years. It's usually the lightweight painted ones that make more than new galv prices
I go to a lot of sales so I always have a go at them. Paid £16 for a pile of about 8 plus fronts last time. Rusty and a couple slightly bent but still do a job(y)

Fair play. It's crappy lightweight painted ones I'm replacing...

Give them their dues - dad would buy them 20-25 years ago. Some lugs are long gone, some have a broken bottom bar... but used solely as lambing pens they've lasted very well.

wooden hurdles are cheap! and easy!
If you value your time its a waste of time making them unless the wood is free and joinery is a hobby

How do you join your wooden hurdles together? String?
Made brackets for mine , all pens form reclaimed pallets

get in quick i bought a few the other day from rickerbys and the price is going up after the spring show and only going one way after that. Also hay racks that go over the hurdle where only £9.
I have phoned ricks this morning and the cheapest they would do the hay racks for was £11 at a push, and that was because I had bought a fair few hurdles from them.:(

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
