Introduce Yourself

I am going to re-introduce myself as I have been re-invented on TFF!

I am the member formerly known as GeorgieB82, a smallholder from West Wales. Although I still help out on the family smallholding I now spend most of my time working as a Planning Consultant fow SJM Planning based in Maidstone, Kent. Through the wonders of technology I still like in West Wales, now in the lovely seaside village of New Quay.

Going forward I will mainly be on the forum for a casual browse but also to try to help where possible with any planning or building queries.

Just had a look, some lovely resto work there. The kit I produce parts for tends to be pretty esoteric. Got a batch of very odd sized bolts to manufacture for an old boy whose bringing a British Wallis tractor back from the the dead at the mo.
You'd enjoy chatting to my neighbour then, He's a retired agricultural engineer and is rebuilding a 1917 Thomas Morse military biplane. He's currently rebuilding a Gnome rotary engine for another enthusiast, for the second time (as he crashed his plane on it's maiden flight badly damaging the engine). He's having to manufucture some of the bolts as the heads are not a standard size

Hello everyone. I'm Jarred and I'm a newly registered member here. Lifestyle change brought me here. I wanted to be more physically active and at the same time produce results that are beneficial to my family's health. I started gardening this year and would likely expand as soon as I learn more about producing crops.

G'day Jarred, welcome!
Great reason for a lifestyle change, what are you growing?
I am a keen (but lazy) gardener too, all no-till here, we use the power of shade and chaos to feed us

Welcome aboard. Where in the world are you?

Hi all, found this forum by accident.
We're Scouse eaters and live on the outskirts of Liverpool. We're not farmers! We have a back garden with some veg plots, a few fruit trees, a little poly tunnel, 3 hens, a cat and a hive of bees! So we grow some carrots onions and spuds, get some apples and plums from our trees, grow some tomatoes and strawberries and get a few eggs from our hens.
Felt we had to log on to let you farmers know, that not everyone believes the $#!+ propaganda the media is spreading about meat! There's been a huge increase in articles about vegans, "meatless" meat etc. and it seems extremely odd to us. There's defo some ulterior motive behind it all, maybe using all the animal land to grow biofuels or impossible burgers?
All we can say is 'animal farmers, please stay in business cos we like eating real food!' :)
