Is that only rhi? What about fits/rocs?I think they have just announced that the RHI tariff for AD plants won't drop till April now so anyone thinking about it has plenty of time!
How have you managed that, I have a 400kW system, so could I just claim upto 200kW thermal?
Its not necessarily so that the different bugs need to be separate, in a way quite the opposite. The acetogenesis stage produces hydrogen, which must be utilised almost instantaneously. If it is not utilised in the immediate vicinity of the acetogens, then their activity is inhibited. It is certain methanogens which utilise the hydrogen, in combination with carbon dioxide, to generate methane and water. See for example page 39 in "The microbiology of anaerobic digesters" which is freely downloadable as a pdf https://thunderbooks.files.wordpres...-of-anaerobic-digesters-michael-h-gerardi.pdf
Therefore they work better when together, other factors being equal.

The assumption that food waste is readily available is also pretty flawed.
How's it going? Have you taken delivery yet? What size did you settle for? I think we are about to go with omni! Just waiting for final spec to be sorted! But we are nearly there!Slowly but surely. We have slowed down now that the RHI isn't dropping till march. Still on blocking this 15 high twin block retaining wall to hold the ground that the digester is going on. Concrete pump booked for next week so when that gets laid I shall be arranging delivery of the digester a week later

Can you buy these digesters with a olive green roof, which is what our planners want?
