Is straw job about to go tits up

IF buyers are welching left, right and centre, will even more straw than normal be chopped next year? If I was a big arable farmer that had sold straw in the swath for the first time in years, then the buyer/dealer backed out and left me with a soggy swath, i’d Likely weld the chopper to the back of the combine to stop me being tempted again.

Does nobody stand by their word any more?:(

Ive heard of deals been done on straw early, mid heat wave at big prices, prices have now dropped, deals not stood by, unhappy farmers!

Spring wheat straw chopped hear as wanted the om in the clay cap ground cover crop seed spun on and disced and rolled in . Nice to see the stuff coming out the straw chopper no dairy farmers running all over the fields with trailers and loaders .

Think the time as come for a 5 year fixed price .job is becoming a total joke . For sure some who have baled this time will never bale again in their lifetime

Hmm...well....there we go. Producing straw ain't that easy. Some on here ( and FB for that matter ) think straw is made by Tescos in a factory just outside Milton Keynes..........:bored:
