I have been running the above for four and a half years but this spring to now , she has done very little hours . Can t remember an issue back in early spring but been using it the last few weeks and I definitely have a new issue in that the steering has got lumpy at a certain point ie you feel resistance through the steering wheel . You can do turn to turn stopped with no issue but if driving on road or field at the sort of straight a head position , any slight movement left or right you can feel a dead spot . Any clue from resident fastrac people ??
Had a full dealer service 800 hrs ago and think it has a replacement steering pump on side of engine ( but no idea when) as it is bright silver where everything else on engine is grey/ black paint.
It's not really serious but just changed and would like to get it right again .

Have a look at the steering column shaft. The coupling can come loose, and wear, where it joins onto the orbital by the pedals. The splines are knackered on my 1135 and it clunks a bit.

Does the shaft from the steering wheel to the steering valve have a knuckle joint by any chance? Had a vehicle with similar to above turned out that the driver had adjusted the steering wheel and the knuckle joint ended up rubbing against a trim panel.

Many years ago, had the steering getting lumpy while I was driving on the road ,then all of a sudden no steering ,going downhill with a few bends on it going into south Newington on A361 .
Very scary moment, but managed to pull it up .blocking off half the carriage way ,we had nothing ,we managed to pull it onto opposite side of the road onto grass verge with help of a other tractor.

So holt jcb came out with a new pump, investigating the problem , it was tabs driving into the cross washer was the problem just shared off (they were just worn out) the the photo for a reference)
The only place who had them was the factory and we did not want to leave the tractor on side of the road overnight, I was going to drive to jcb get the parts, but I wouldn’t be back before 9 pm, so I asked cheeky question
Can you ask sir Anthony (before he came Lord Bamford ) if he would put it into his pocket before he fly home to Daylesford , I will come and pick it up .
10 minutes later the answer came back yes ,
but about 15 minutes later the pilot rang me sent me your grid reference and we will come to you and they landed in the field next to us.

Great service .
The suction hoses can come off the pump as well but you get massive oil leak and its obvious ..
