Does anyone know if 300/95/46 will fit on a 4220?
I’ve seen a set of these to fit a Fastrac and wondered if they would fit on a 4000 series.

Don’t know, just seen them online but thought most Fastrac’s were on r44 rowcrops so was afraid they were too tall.

Don’t know anything about row crops but they must b a foot taller than the standard wheels? They may fit but might be close in places? The Knight forward control has bigger wheels because of the mods.

That is my thoughts too, some searching last night showed the forward control can fit 380,r46 . That’s a fair tyre ?.

Just got a quick question for some one. In the steering wheel on the 4220 is a hole that im guessing is for a steering wheel spinner. Does anyone know if it’s a common jcb steering wheel ? Had a quick look on ebay and only comes up with back hoes and telehandler options for the spinners. If anyone knows if they are all the same would be much appreciated. Cheers
Yep it’s a common JCB steering wheel ?

Knights modified the panniers to make those big wheels fit, the exhaust was moved and it had fabricated hydraulic tanks.
710/60 r30’s are 1620mm diameter and they’re fairly tight against the panniers. Think the factory rowcrops are 380/85r38

So as it's bloody wet and can't get on with anything else I finally managed to get this for a proper try out .

I ran across 600 acres yesterday with it and it's very comfortable and manouverable with the 4ws .

But !! This may have been me not using it properly I felt it a but lacking on a hill.

Set up in 540eco at 18kmh as I would with my JD'S using the rev hold function and when it came to a steep bit it would drop 100 rpm at the shaft before slowing the forward speed and then getting PTO speed up again. Is there droop settings to change this ?

Gonna stick the trio on it and see how it goes but it was pretty wet last night .
But only once I've removed my spreader and box etc . Simple spreaders used to be easier to put on a different tractor :banghead: !!

The setting in green below is ‘droop’. You can set it for a minimum of 100rpm which is about 40rpm at 540e.

That will probably help then I did look in there but didn't pick up that as being engine drop I'm used to a percentage. And a lack of autosteer didn't make it easy to play with it unless I was stopped

There is a setting in the gearbox settings to set the maximum rev drop before it pulls the gearbox in, its the bottom option in that page, I usually have it set to 150-300 depending on what job the tractor is on.
*edit* beaten to it!

Anyone want to hazard a guess what I can let a set of 600/30 BKT tyres down to with a mounted 3m trio only going in the field as it's next to the steading??

On the Sumo I would have it like this. Manual on the headland, field cruise in the field.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
