Mr. Acetylene. Burn it out. Or freeze spray and a stone hammer on the pin, proper stuff not DIY shite. Might take a few tins on a fat pin. I've got stuff apart with it, especially of you can heat the other part.

There is a 3/8 bolt that holds the pin into the eye of the rod this will need to be got out. I did this on mine used the mag drill to remove as much of the pin as possible and then welded a bit of steel to it and sledged it out. A press would have worked to.

What’s wrong with yours? Long time since we had a 3c, but it was much cheaper to get a new rod made and the cylinder resealed, that to buy a 2nd hand ram from a breaker.

Cot a repair kit for the one that was in tge machine. Seems to be working perfectly. Still don't know why the old one would barely move under hydraulic pressure. Managed to pull the rod out with the heavy tractor and a wire rope.

I have another problem. I was trying to change the seals in the big ram on one side of tge front loader. Gland nut is very tight snd getting almost impossible to move as I unscrew it . Anyone with any ideas.

Nut on the piston? Has it got a locking device such as allen head grub screws? Loctite on the threads?

So does it move some and stop, or not at all?

If the first I'd be heating it.
If the second, as said look for a tack weld, thin roll pin, grib screw or tiny woodruff type spline. Can't imagine that's the case tho.

Probably gunge on the threads.

I got it half way out before it seized completely. Now a 3ft bar won't move it. I'm assuming that the threads are galled but maybe it is loctite. Manual says to put it on.
