JD linkage has stopped moving

Hi all,

I’ve recently acquired a 2016 John Deere 6110r which has worked perfectly and has been exactly what I needed, until today. The rear linkage has decided not to work, inside or outside, with no amount of turning on and off again solving the issue. The screen doesn’t even show it trying to move, almost like it’s locked out, but it isn’t…

Need to move some trailers tomorrow, so could really do with it working again!

Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Are the arms up in the max position, and won't come down? Got that problem with a 6400... Read that the lift cylinders can get stuck with time.. my idea first to remove a pipe going to the lift cylinder and press the arms down first.. then connect and see what happens...

Ok, that’s made the linkage move, thanks. However it still doesn’t move with the electric controls….
Blown Fuse? Rats eaten cables? Sticky Valves? Worn switches? Blown or high resistance control coils? or a mixture of them all. Best to employ an experanced fitter who knows JD tractors.

Add alternator or battery to this list. If the battery is low for some reason then the lift will stop working. That's on older models anyway.

Thank you, you are quite right but I was assuming that the tractor was able to start which imply that the starting & charging electrics were functioning correctly. Mind you one should never assume anything on vehicle electrics unless you have checked every item out.
