Kidd fymax bottom beater repair

Made a new bottom beater for kidd fymax after the old one broke in half.

This was one repair i could forgive for not painting!... a long time since my teens i used a brand new fymax... getting the belt to run true in the centre was always a a problem

Huh! I used to rent out 2 Kidd 4 ton spreaders. I took me a long time to discover why they came back with the rollers out of their sockets.
Turned out fields were often subsoiled prior to spreading dung and the empty machines were going back to the clamp at high speed.
I sent a complete Kidd back end off for scrap before Christmas. Bearings probably seized but the bars and flingers were ok.

I still have some wheels and tyres if high plains drifter ever gets to Hertfordshire:)

Think the rest of the machine will have rusted away long before the beater does. Wasn't really sure it was worth fixing but it does the job

I'm in northumberland so abit far to pop round

What size wheels 12.5/15 or the big old aero wheels
