That's insane, my plough is due boards soon, but was planning stopping contract ploughing. With prices like that you'd be needing £50 an acre

I'd be going for kramp or try spladings
Think it pays to shop around, last summer thought I'd better get a set of shares and a couple of sets of points ready for my Vogel noot plough. I have a Kramp account, but thought the genuine shares last longer. To my suprise, the genuine parts, now Amazone were much cheaper through the local dealer.

Recommended price with Kramp is just over £100 for a no8, mouldboard. An 18" Kverneland share is around £60 , parts are getting seriously expensive...
16"shares for the reversible point are about £27.50 .+ vat .18" shares are less common, but I wouldn't think they are more than double the price ? Genuine no.8 boards on a pre season deal are about £137 + vat
