I've done it on three this time, that's all the singles we've lost so far, and each time it has taken almost straight away. It's certainly a lot better than just putting a lamb straight in

Blimey, thank you. I can’t imagine many people buying it though!
Strangely, people said my Dad ought to have written a book. He was a good story teller once he’d had a whisky or two!

Foster crate always works for me. The key is to release the ewe for a 15 mins a days until she gets used to it. The lamb Will eventually pick the smell of the ewe

OP UPDATE...I still struggling on trying to get my ewe to take to a lamb..it has until monday after which to market she goes

Have you tried bothering her with a dog?
Will sometimes bring out maternal instinct
Failing that get the trailer backed up ready to go

Sadly I dont have a dog I do have the trailer in position however!

Any dog will do doesn't have to be a working/farm dog
Persuaded Mrs BnG to take her dozey mutt to upset one last year was a big help

OP update ...the ewe didn't take to the lamb so went to cull market making just short of £200 ...I sold the lamb as a case for 20
