Sold 34 store types today. Weren't weighed in Mart but on bridge all between 36kgs and 40kgs. £70
Have you many more left to go.. Some times it might be better to creep lambs at 3 weeks to a month old , even only for a couple of weeks and get them away quicker, I might try this next year.

70 for stores is ok, I'd be happy enough with that!

Any idea how anyone is making money buying, transporting and keeping these for a few more weeks?
I saw stores a few weeks ago that were big boned Suffolk x's but had no meat on them so needed 3-5 weeks on turnips/rape to fill with meat, they were £72/head and yet it was £76 for a fat lamb that week (19.5-20kg) - now it'd be £72?

I can't quite get my head round it because they don't seem to be making that round here, I've not been for a couple of weeks or so admittedly but market report average was £49 So presumably a lot of long keep lambs. Bigger lambs in the £60 area won't be leaving much never mind at 70 odd!

Have to say that I'm pleased with how the bulk of my replacement ewe lambs have done even if the fat lambs aren't as good

Hasn't been grazed for while as awkward field. Slow to grow to that field. Plus it used to be part of a bog so gets very wet and has sunk quite Abit in places

Lambs are looking well, we'll only be keeping the closest to weigh to finish and sending the rest as stores. Apart from all the tups we left entire [emoji29][emoji29][emoji31]
They're onto creep now to help get em gone.
