So I've got a 6yr rotation, ww/osr/ww/maize/ww/peas. A little bit of N fixing after the OSR wouldn't go amiss considering how much N the haulm sucks up.
Would you chance putting a legume in the catch crop between OSR and wheat?
I know vetch is a big no, but what about beans? Do they carry the same diseases?
What about clovers, or more exotic legumes like Fenugreek or Lupins?
