We were told when we were on 18 meter tramlines discs at 1035 rev on the control box, that was roughly 530 pto revs. We should see as a rough guide prills on the next tramline over.

When I used to run one of them it was set level for every fert at 20m and was fine only time I stripped with it was when I was told by someone to run it more up at the back o think it was spreading heavy behind the tractor because it was then throwing too far but can't remember.

Just borrow a set of trays to find out .

Also could be dusty fert not throwing far enough making it greener

Double overlap spreader, the only way to get any accuracy is to carry out a tray test.

Most spread patterns can be altered by tractor revs (disc speed) spreader fin length, and flow rate. However the density and size of the prill is the ultimate dictator. Your fert needs to be as consistent as possible, whether that be big or small prill.

So, get the trays out, make a double run, and see how consistent/inconsistent it is. Volume and distance spread are completely different things.

Based on the information you have provided, it simply sounds like the overlap is wrong based on the ability of the fert to spread that wide.

Just a small point, you haven't put new fins on recently and put them on the wrong side, the Centerliner runs the opposite way to most others.

If you're stuck for gear to do the tray test, use egg trays to catch the fert, and measure them all individually into an old syringe.

Doing that will reduce the spread width, it's about ballistic velocity and prill density.
Read the manual.
That's what it says for 24m.
That's the limit for these.
not with a centre liner it want. be using one for 20 years never had a problem with uneven spreading. theres an angle indector on the machine
Thanks.
I've hydraulic top link so it could be a bit steep but it reaches 12m each side.
