Possibly going to look at one soon to replace a CR960. CR is a great combine but Claas is an itch I need to scratch!!! Also want to go 9m cut so need tracks and I can’t find a narrow body CR on tracks! Got to be narrow body due to our roads or rather lack of them!!!!
What should I look out for? We’ve been NH since 135 and 1530s!!!

We've got one and if I was you I'd get a 760 unless I'm wrong and that's a wide body . We're 7.5m header and you can fill the grain tank at an a fair rate we need 2 trailers a lot more but I think a 760 has the bigger top on it . Other than that it goes very well

Don't think a CR wide body on 24" tracks would be much wider than your CR960 on wheels.

I think a 760 can be both wide and narrow body they changed the numbers so early ones are wide later narrow

Correct you are sir! 2010-2015 was wide, 2016-2020 narrow.

CR wide body on 24" tracks is 3.5m wide (over the tracks and back wheels). We find the problem with road work is not the width of the tarmac but the overhanging vegetation.

My CR is 3.4m wife across tyres but the bulge in the tyre makes about 3.45m but I can climb the banks which I don’t think would be such a wise idea with tracks???
But anyway... what should I be looking for in a Lexion? Is 9m a good match? I did read an old thread about 9m being a handful in a wet year? Every year is wet in Pembrokeshire!! Didn’t put 1 trailer of wheat into store under 20% this harvest.
Apart from obvious general things what should I be looking at in detail?

Ran a 750 [2012] Montana for 5 years with 9m cut and thought it was a good match . A 7.5 would maybe allow you to get through an extra gateway or two but we found from demo unit c/w 7.5 that we had to drive faster to keep it full and on slopes and small fields it was all too quick so chose a 9m . [Obviously with Montana we could lift higher and clear hedges} Good combine but its a lot of crop going through a small hole at the front end !!!

760tt narrow body with 9m here, new to us this season. Extremely pleased with it and goes very well. Thanks to Sellars Agriculture for supplying a very good used machine as described, would recommend.

We have an 09 plate 570 that originally had a 25ft header that we swapped for a 30ft before it came on the farm. We are very pleased with the decision so a 750 should play with a 30ft. I could not imagine having a smaller header on it. I Don't understand why people want to rush up and down the field. 👍

Speak to Nick and James, see what they have to say.
