Herdwatch is ace.
All cattle are automatically downloaded from BCMS so you dont have to input them yourself.
Medicine records are super easy.
Input the medicine when its bought and usage is done att the time on the phone app.
It automatically takes the amount down by the amount used.
Withdrawals are easy to see.
I recommend it.

Check out a video we did with 2 of our members recently in Cornwall, outlining just some of the features and benefits with Herdwatch!

Download it here and see for yourself: https://herdwatchng.app.link/1U7cTRBBHgb

You can actually sign up to a 30 day free trial to see if it's something that suits you!

Thanks for posting that, really enjoyed watching it. Have known Kevin and Katie for many years and seen them grow up and succeed. 👍

The Agrident readers allow for sheep recording to be done directy on the reader. For cattle, we supply Kingswood Herd mobile app - very similar to HerdWatch in function. The Kingswood Herd App is completely compatible with the Agrident readers (an optional EID component) and we can supply a phone holder for the reader to enable the phone to be attached to the reader so you don't have to hold reader in one hand and phone in the other. For sheep, you have 2 choices in software - Free software which comes with the reader, with basic recording functions or our comprehensive Select Sheepware program.

I have received firmware from agrident and have an s3 and weigh cell arriving from a weighing equipment company start of next week. The s3 bluetooth link has been done by agrident and we're testing next week. The only reader in the world that i am aware of that can retrieve weighs via Bluetooth from an s3 scale.

How did you get on with this @TGM ?

I have tested the S3 with APR600. APR600 is retrieving weights from S3 Trutest. I'm waiting for new firmware to test the AWR300, but it will be fine also as they use the same BT chip. When I get the new firmware. perhaps today otherwise tomorrow, I'll confirm with you regardng the AWR300. Which actually means the other 2 Agrident should be ok also to connect to and retieve weights from the S£ - the AWR250 stick and the APR250 handheld. The issue with S3 scale is that the Bluetooth connection type is Bluetooth Low Energy, BLE. This is common in phones, but not in EID readers. Agrident have a dual mode BT chip and they have the firmware sorted so that it can connect via BLE to the S3, while retaining the ability to connect via the standard mode (SPP) to bluetooth printer or other scales such as the EziWeigh7i. I don't think any other EID reader brands can connect via BLE to the S3 scale. If anyone has any other EID reader which connects to the S3 scale and retrieves weights, I will be interested to know - not talking here about a phone connecting to S3, but a reader connecting to S3 and retieving weights directly into the reader.

S3 testing with APR600: APR600 is retrieving weights from S3 Trutest. The new firmware is not yet released but will be avaioable to Agrident APR600 users shortly. Agrident sent me the new firmware for testing. AWR300 should be working with the S3 by the end of next week. The S3 scale uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol, which is more common in phones. But the Agrident Bluetooth chip can handle both standard Bluetooth protocol (SPP) and BLE. I stand to be corrected, but as far as I'm aware, at the moment the Agrident readers are the only readers able to directly download weights froman S3 scale (Talking directly downloading into the reader and saving in the reader, not using a phone). If anyone has any other brand of reader which can directly download weights from an S3 scale into the reader please let me know.

As a matter of interest have you got the AWR 300 to take a weight from the S3 yet ? thanks.

The AWR300 is now working with the S3, but we have to order AWR300 specifically with the right component for S3 communication. There's an additional charge for the S3 variant of £25.
