My next door neighbour is retiring. Wouldn't get more genuine, well looked after machinery.

Saw that, about a day after I’d done a deal for similar combine down near Carlisle

Prices were strong I thought, especially for wheelbarrow with 2 wheels (£170).
I bought the dual wheels but left the straw bedder.
I thought the combine was one of the cheaper lots at £6000. I'm sure there would be export demand for that. It was tidy.

There are fewer sales. Nothing seems to go cheap at these online sales.

Think it made £5800 looked very clean. Combine looked like good value.
Strong trade for gates, troughs, wire and fence posts.

The bedder was a 2007 but had not been used for 4 years as the farmer gave up keeping cattle. They are over 15k new so I suppose £6000 including commission is not unreasonable. I will have to raise my game a bit if I really want one.

Online sales are doing really well for vendors,very few bargains,quite a few of the auctioneers saying they won't be going back to actual on farm selling,no more bacon rolls!!

Collective sales without a doubt you will be run up to reserve,bit more risky on genuine dispersal though.

A good auctioneer will run you at a live sale though.
