Lowloader / bale trailer

Hi all I am currently converting an 19ft beaver-tailed lowloader into a bale trailer just wondering how many standard round bales of hay/straw/silage will I be able to put on the floor. I’m In the process of making a wedge for the back to level out the trailer and a frame for the front

Up to you and depending if you’re going on the main road or not. Frame would help but you’ll still need to strap them

Measure a bale and work it out 🤷🏻‍♂️

With a 19 foot bed, you could mount the bars a foot out from the bed, to give 21 foot effective length to hold 5 4ft round bales in a line and still have bottoms of the bales sat on solid bed.

Just don't have the frame holding the ends going straight back and then straight up, rather than diagonally up. It makes unloading the bales with some styles of bake handles so much easier. Not an issue if the bales are only ever spiked on and off, but I've known a few bake trailers that where a pita for a contractor unloading bales to wrap them in the yard.
