Surely common sense should prevail tho ,if the seller will not let you view ,or spwak on the phone you should walk away ,as i said it the case of thats cheap buy it quick before any one else does ,do research before blowing your hard earned

I assume the scammers are successful because they don't say it can't be viewed and they obviously do have some contact.
My only point though is that the overriding factor isn't greed, stupidity or "I must buy it quick before anyone else does.."
For many/ most it is simply " There is what I'm looking for and it seems affordable, let's enquire about it."
Of course you can't do too much research but I'd be very surprised if people are sending money without some kind of convincing interaction.

There has been very little action from the authorities, the Metropolitan Police seem to have done absolutely nothing since it was forwarded to them by Action Fraud. Incidentally I am still persuing the Natwest Bank via the Financial Ombudsman. The Ombudsman contacted me recently to say that as I am not a customer of Natwest they cannot investigate my case, I have countered this argument and am awaiting a reply. It has taken them 6 months to give me this stupid reply, instead of investigating my case they have spent their time (and taxpayers money) trying to dream up a reason why they should not investigate. As I am in Northern Ireland I do not have an option of being a Natwest Customer as were those from overseas caught in this scam.
All the bodies involved are in my opinion a waste of space.
