Looks a bit tough on top / capped off !Lucerne & Timothy coming slowly been in 4 weeks direct drilled both ways @ 14 kg an acre
Fair enough. I have a field with companion grass and one without. I prefer the straight Lucerne personally. That’s what the seed company advised Lucerne with Timothy as a companion also got small amount of cocksfoot in it.
They’ve been in the ground for 3 years now and going strong. It’ll take atleast a year to get into full production. Don’t expect anything brilliant for the first cut or two next year, well worth the weight though!Have you had a crop off it yet? Our soil is clay over lime stone
All square bales in 120x90s with half the knives in and 8 layers of wrap. You will get holes in the wrap but it doesn’t spoil as bad as a grass bale, might be the lack of sugars in it. Cattle go mad for it!Ok thank you. Do you bale it?
