Have you had a crop off it yet? Our soil is clay over lime stone
They’ve been in the ground for 3 years now and going strong. It’ll take atleast a year to get into full production. Don’t expect anything brilliant for the first cut or two next year, well worth the weight though!

Lucerne & Timothy coming slowly been in 4 weeks direct drilled both ways @ 14 kg an acre

Looks a little dry/capped - shouild be resolved now after rain - should have 6 weeks of growing weather of sorts in south. Timothy grows down to 0C, lucerne to 8C, soil tempertures 14C in the south at 10cm. Fingers crossed.
