No definitely metric tried a 7/8 unf plug that I had but it would probably go if you were an animal but definitely not right got a thread pitch gauge and 1.5 matches perfectI know it German, but its not 7/8" unf is it ? That's near @ 22.225mm x 1.814mm
As that's what a cheap standard sort of plug is out of many tractors
Not that I can see but the electric fuel stop is disconnected and I’ve allways used the manual lever but reading online if the fuel stop solenoid is still in place and not connected it can cause them to not start so I wounder if it’s holding the rack a bit ?Does it have an excess fuel button ?
Engine is a F3L 1U11 if that means anything to anyone? Failing this @ACEngineering can you get geared starters for these

I'd just fit the glow plug as above in the air intake, you'll probably need an extra solenoid to power it. Too much of a current draw for the key switch.
Off topic , but why don't manufacturers winterize a bit of machines for the UK market! Neighbors Case skid steer 435, 2006 model. Slow starting , to the point that on a real frosty morning he'd have to connect jump leads. Too our astonishment, even though there is a yellow heat light on the dash, that goes out after some 20 seconds, there was no heater fitted to the engine. All those 20 seconds wasted! A bit of searching and I managed to find the complete kit , including the intake grid heater, the solenoid, the cables and fixing clips and instructions on American eBay. .but changing the starter motor has already made a massive difference , starts easily now.
Your probably correct. This is a quote I found about the said engineSounds like a Cummins 4bt !

"For what it's worth, there is a Cummins 3BT AKA 334T/M2 which is a three cyl 3.3L turbo diesel. It is essentially a 6.7 that has been cut in half. It comes in Case/ New Holland skid steers and makes about 80 HP and 225 ft/lbs of torque. "
The Cummins engines are into their electrical grid heaters in the intake to the manifold by the look of things.
