Machinery too expensive

Looks like a more cheerful version of a 1990's Krone basic baler.
There are several round baler manufacturers in Poland including New Holland of course. I think the smaller companies only build “copy” versions. The innovators are the premium brands in the main. Doesn’t mean the smaller manufactures make poor products, but probably not as sofisticated.

It has been suggested in the past that Mchales were beefed up Welger "copies"..

they were great balers, i remember how the smoke poured out of my ford 6610 when the bale got to full size. No need for a bleeper.
We put ours on Renault 781s. It never showed any black smoke.
Actually our neighbours ran a 44 on a MF690 and it used to cough it's guts out!

Doing the same job at less cost equals more profit. Stay small walk tall
I really don"t care what other folks buy,but i do care not to indulge in machinery finance to buy equipment or cars that do not make my crops grow any better.Being a no-till farmer i don"t need much equipment. My old Claas 108 has done over 5000 hrs but still gives a sample that goes through the drill with no problems and no green stripes down the field after it.I farm on my hands and knees, not from a tractor cab.

a lot of the problem these days is the machines are to far back they don't start doing anything for ten foot behind the tractor wheel [deliberate exaggeration ]
take ploughs for example an old conventional plough would have two farrows in front of the front one on some ploughs, now hedgetrimmers are the same the first one I used the arm didn't miss the wheel by much now the arm is way back and they make a forward reach version just to get the head back to where it should have been in the first place
and case in point a mate of mine was using a 4m powerharrow with air drill and front tank and saying there wasn't much weight on the front when the tank was empty, I had a quick look and could soon see a way that the whole lot could be brought forward six inches just with a bit of farmer alterations most likely a factory redesign could see a fair bit of the weight moving forward a foot or more which would make a hell of a difference but its much more easy to tell the farmer to get a bigger tractor or hang more weight on the front than it is to make this stuff properly in the first place
Harry ferguson could soon tell most of them a thing or two
Harry ferguson was a genius ,it sometimes makes me wonder where we have gone wrong,we are farming the very same soil in the same fields ,but how different those soils must be now to what they were then.

We used to be able to buy nearly any machine for the farm without finance. But that’s Near impossible now!

There is in general a lot more size and complexity to machinery now though.
I avoid finance as i have plenty of that with rent/mortgage and manage ,i have just got new Sim-tech drill and auto steer but could only justify that with the 40% grant.I don"t think the Farmers Weekly would be very interested in "Whats in your barn" at my place. As with all their articles they are desperate to publish how much land people farm, which i find rather crass .
