Just pulled our old one out the nettles, it has hardly been used in 15 years but it will be handy for small jobs instead of going to get rear discharge. It is needing A set of tips/teeth, can these still be bought does anyone know?

I plated up & modified one of these to feed silage years ago & for some reason I think some the parts were available from Harry West or Shelbourne,
I actually thought the tip plates were reversible & had an almost serrated edge .
Failing that your local smiddy should manage to knock up a set that will do the job for sensible money.

Funny you say that, this one was used for feeding pit silage too with a panel added to deflect stuff down into troughs.
I found the plates on spladings website this afternoon so will price a set up. Parked it up this afternoon as it threw the drive chain for the rotor off, took a half link out and put it back on and it’s done the same again so another problem to suss out 🙈

 Only break down when you need them.
Probably just an alignment issue due to movement on the rotor bearings.( re-align, re-tighten then when happy weld a couple of bits of flat bar at the bottom end of each bearing to stop it moving again & hopefully not a bent shaft😖
