Having recently done a full refurbishment on the boom on our Manitou MT1840 (2008 - serial 251699) hoses, seals and wiring harnesses we’ve reassembled everything and are currently commissioning but have run into a problem when booming out, T1 booms out without issues and as it’s fully extended T2 should begin to boom out but doesn’t, sounds like it’s dead heading. If we use the joystick tilting the bucket T2 begins to boom out a little and then stops.
We had marked all hoses before removing and replacing, I had thought perhaps a hose might have been replaced and installed incorrectly but if that was the case and the tilt function on the joystick did send out T2 it would continue to boom out but it doesn’t therefore don’t believe it is a hose that’s been swapped but can’t think about what else it could be, perhaps air in the lines or something?
Swapped the plugs on the BF block to see if that would change anything and it did not.
Any feedback / solutions would be appreciated!
