Marshall 802 value

Last drove a Marshall November 1999. So bottom photo brings back happy memories like when the diseal tank dropped off, like when the clutch fluid disappeared at a busy roundabout, having to top up & blead brakes daily, all good fun.

But don't remember where the hand throttle was, sure it was not where yours is.

We had an 802 , pokey & manoeuvrable little tractor , the hand throttle was on the right hand side of the dashboard if I remember correctly .

I was led to believe that the cab was intended only for the David Brown 90 series but browns were running behind with starting building them and taking the cabs, unfortunately sekura at Barnsley had a factory up and running and building cabs so as a sweetener they where allowed to sell them to leyland also

It's different story if you agree fair price with your neighbor, but I think you can't get such a tidy original 802 from open market less than £5k.
Tractor looks very nice and genuine apart grey wheels and roof.

It needs a bit of work really. Clutch and brakes need constant bleeding.
Engine smokes but that's probably down to need some work. Rear tyres about shot/perished. Not all the paint is original

If front weights are fitted permanently
Expect considerable wear in front axle
and steering
My valuation is very low
Someone has mentioned 5 or 5 and half ,how would the seller come off with tax at that price
When I bought Matbro in 2003 I offered lower price with half paid by cheque and half in cash which did the
Trick

I'm struggling to work out if the tractor is worth more or less because of the sellers tax status

Got to be 5k I would think, mate of mine was offered 7k for his one, very tidy original
condition.ours is probably a bit better than the one pictured and that may have to be sold to make way for a new tractor, they certainly have quite a following.
