Hi does any one know what error code E1077 means? Had this come on today with 4 warning lights. It didn’t reduce power or stop. Any help would be great.

Did it clear by turning the key off?

It did then came back on a few minutes later. Then was fine this afternoon

Dam that sounds expensive. I have my fingers crossed it was just a blip. If not may have to get the main dealer out to investigate.

A quick update. Had the main dealer out. He got up a code of 10778. Changed the fuel filters. But the lights and code came back on about an hour after he had left.

is it common rail or old style rotary pump

if its old style pump is likely faulty its common on every application it has from jd to mf...

It’s a tier 2. Last of the Perkins engine. It doesn’t lose any power! I would of thought if it was faulty the code and lights would be on all the time.

It’ll be the Bosch vp44 pump then that likes to die unexpectedly

Bugger. Do they repair the pumps or will it have to be a new one? I’m guessing they won’t be cheap. Maybe they can loan me a tractor as I am digging out a site for a new shed but only have the digger for a few more days.

I think I will risk it. Just don’t want it to fail on the road as then I will be stuck!!!!

The usual problem with these injector pumps is that they won’t start at all either from cold or when warm so I think you should be okay to carry on and “Let it develop” as my old man allways says

Since the main dealer has been out and changed the fuel filter it has been struggling to start.

Have a look at the pipe from the tank see if it’s perished? Check the little plastic bleed screws are tight and take the top of the lift pump and have a look at the gauze in there make sure everything is sealed properly when you refit then try again

I think it normally is, I’ve often thought about if a standard manual fuel pump could be fitted instead but it wouldn’t work with the vario very well I’d imagine
