Well here we go again, seeking advice from the finest brains on the planet.
This time is is the power steering on my new (to me) MF203. I have included the MF65 in the title, as some of the system is the same.
When purchased, the steering rams were disconnected, the reservoir bypassed and not surprisingly, power steering not working.
Without a manual or other reference, I connected the resevoir to the pump and filled the system, initially this seemed to be offering some assistance, but soom the fluid was being forced out of the resevoir cap, (soaking a friend who was assisting! Well worth the lost fluid for the laugh, Sorry Pat!)
I have now recieved a copy of the workshop manual and can start a more structured approach to the problem.
Firstly, the manual shows three pipes from the resevoir to pump and steering box pump. I only seem to have fittings for two.
Then the pump seems to be different from the one in the drawings. Is this the correct pump?
Weather improving slightly, so off to investigate more.
