It is already the top one in the range.Depends which gearbox, but it’s best left alone, buy a puma if you want more.
It’s got the active 8 gear box in ! I had a puma on demo before this one and it was too bigger tractor for fitting round the lanes and yards

I’ve dyno’d it recently and it’s at 142 un boosted and 167 boosted so was thinking its underpowered anyway just wanted people’s opinions on how safe and how far it is to go with the remap

Yes.... this! If the rest of the tractor was up to more power then no doubt Case would offer a Maxxum 160 and 170 and charge you an extra few grand for a different engine map and some bigger tyres. As it is already the top of the range, it would be a stretch, and I can imagine working hard would result in overheating the back end and transmission. Yes, the 6 cylinder engine would certainly be capable of more power, but there is only so much a medium sized tractor can do with the various fluid capacities, shafts and clutches.

I’d be hesitant what with that gearbox still be unproven. You might want some good will from case one day on a major repair and there won’t be any if it’s mapped.
